Monitor (mgamon)

Syntax

megafor [-megactrl multicastControlAddress] [-log logType[:logType]]

Description

The Monitor (mgamon) is an AS1 platform management tool. It presents a view of the hms, servents and clients currently announcing on the shared multicast channel (-megactrl).

Command Line Arguments

-megactrl multicastControlAddress
multicastControlAddress is a shared multicast channel which all host managers, clients and servents use to announce and listen. This defaults to 224.4.5.24/50000/31.
-log logType[:logType]
Indicates that a log entry should be written for each message of a type in the list of logTypes. Example logTypes are "srv" and "client".

User Interface

Clicking on an entry brings up a window with more information on that agent. Clicking the death button sends a death packet to all the agents in that column.
