Open Mash Multicast Workshop

Thursday/Friday July 20-21, 2000

Sponsored by UC Berkeley, the Open Mash Consortium, and Pacific Bell
in cooperation with CENIC and NLANR.

This workshop introduced application developers to the technologies for producing multicast applications. The idea was to incorporate tutorials and a forum for discussion on the use of various multicast protocols and related technologies (e.g., IP-Multicast, SS-Multicast, soft-state announce/listen protocols, etc.) and streaming media protocols (e.g., RTP/RTCP, RTSP, SAP/SDP/SIP, etc.) for the development of innovative next-generation applications.

The first day of the workshop (July 20th) focussed on generic issues related to multicast, and the second day (July 21st) focussed on the Open Mash Toolkit.

The workshop was webcast live and archived for on-demand replay. The replays are available on the Workshop Program web page.
