And possibly this includes the Linux Player as well... Tim joined the
session by downloading the SMIL file and then loading it up from
RealPlayer.
As a kludge, couldn't the CGI script generate temporary SMIL files purged
at the end of the session or some other convenuent time... after all the
fallback for non Windows users is to download the SMIL into a file to then
load it manually thru RealPlayer?

That's what the /m option to RealPlayer appears to be doing under Windows,
no? Ok, let me poke some more in Real's developer docs. I got a reply from
Real but it was limited to tell me "go do a clean install of RealPlayer!"
