After action report on Fall MIGS #1

Whoo boy, where to start:  

RealPlayer (version 8 basic running on Windows NT), normally rock solid,
would work for about
1 minute or two and 
then quit.  Finally, to add insult to injury at the last it informed me that
the server had reached its capacity and can serve more streams.  Ouch!
Eventually it let me back in after 15 minutes or so, but it still quit
after a minute of broadcasting the stream.

When I did receive it the video was pretty good (268 kb/s), but the slides
were still a bit hard to read.  ("No font less than 44pt shall be used!" ;-)
I liked the dual screen a lot.

The mash script stuff died early -- there was an error message about
a missing { or something.  My own mashlet page works okay, so I don't
quite know what is going on.

The sdr announcement was fine, except that it refused to run vic and
vat with the parameters given.  Matt tells me it is because he was
using nsdr.  (I run sdr/vic/vat on a Sun Ultra 5.)

Anyway, so I started the tools manually.  The H.261 video was actually
pretty good at 1.2 Mb/s!  It was actually much better than it had ever been.
The audio, unfortunately, was nonexistant.  Erik tells me that the audio
is running off of a different subnet.  I've included the mtrace from
here to there below.  (Note the 100 % loss rate...)

Anyway, Larry you look great at 1.2 Mb/s, but it would help if I had
a little audio.
