Mmmm, no, I hadn't planned on doing that.  I think it'd be simpler to 
just create your own local tcl8.4 and tk8.4 directories that are 
checked out from the Tcl/Tk CVS repository.  You shouldn't need to 
modify the 8.4 sources.  Mash is what needs fixing.

Yes, I'm aware of 8.3.4, but that didn't make the list of changes 
scheduled for the next Mash release (5.2).  We'll probably move to 
8.3.4 (or higher) in one of the 5.2.x releases.

One small problem is that 8.3.4 doesn't contain all of the bug fixes 
that I submitted.  I've been focused entirely on Mash the last couple 
months so I haven't kept tabs on the Tcl/Tk community.  I'll have to 
devote some time to keeping an eye on them to make sure some bugs get 
fixed.

No rush.  If and when Tcl/Tk 8.4 gets released, I'll probably dive in 
and help out.
