MIGS 1/31/01 Report
Hi all,
I'm having a difficult time with MIGS again. I'm actually trying to move
to a new set of computers so part of the problem is certainly there.
MASH/mbone stuff:
I'm using the latest MASH code on a Windows NT 4.0 machine. I am
getting no audio or video presently. Did anyone else get multicast?
Also, I'm trying to migrate to Windows 2000/Netscape 6.0. I ran the
newest mash code and ran into an input problem of all things. I cannot
put my rtpName or rtpEmail in. I tried all the usual things (reboot the
machine, reinstall.) I even tried hand installing the prefs file with
no luck. Is anyone else trying a Win2k/Netscape 6 configuration?
Real stuff:
I also can't get Real and Netscape 6 to work under Win2k. This time
it just says that the x-pn-realaudio type doesn't exist. Again, has
anyone else tried this?
Also, if I may vent a bit: right in the middle of getting the stuff
to work the www.bmrc.berkeley.edu server decided to not accept my
requests anymore!!!! This is singularly irritating -- perhaps a note
to your friendly web maintainers about bringing the server down in the middle
of the day? Arrrrgggghhh! OK, I feel much better now. Really. ;-)
Thanks,
Greg
P.S. I did finally manage to get part of the seminar live through
NT 4.0/Real Player Basic 8.0. Actually worked pretty well. G.
