iRTP (RTPtv Indiva Service) Readme
----------------------------------

To enable iRTP, configure mash with the '--enable-irtp' option to load
the RTPtv RPC commands directly into mash. These commands must be
loaded for irtp to work. After compilation, check to ensure the
commands (ex: rtv_alloc) work in both mash and smash.

Also, 'rtptv/rtp/rtvspawn &' must be running on machines with the
LML33 capture cards which are to be encoded.

-----

Like all Indiva services, iRTP can run either standalone or from the
Indiva Shell (ish). On command 'encode' within ish, if the capture
card is LML33 and the user specifies encoding '-fmt mjpeg', iRTP will
be run instead of IVE (for video sources). Similarly for audio
sources, iRTP will be run instead of IAE if the encoding format is
'L16'.
