To
subscribe or unsubscribe from an Open Mash mailing list,
click on the subscribe/unsubscribe link and send the email.
You should receive confirmation of your request in a few
minutes.
If
the subscribe/unsubscribe links don't work with your web
browser and/or email program, send email to "list-name-request@openmash.org"
with either the word "subscribe" or "unsubscribe"
on a line by itself in the body of the message.
The
Open Mash mailing lists are administered by Majordomo.
For more information about Majordomo commands, send email
to majordomo@openmash.org
with the word "help" on a line by itself in the
body of the message.

you're having trouble with the Open Mash mailing lists and
need to talk to a person, send email to openmash-owner@openmash.org.
Posting
to the Mailing Lists
You
must subscribe to an Open Mash mailing list before you will
be allowed to send mail to it.
The
Open Mash mailing lists reject any mail from non-subscribers
to reduce the amount of junk email. Sometimes subscribers
need to send mail from an email address that is different
than their subscribed address. Email addresses that are
subscribed to openmash-posters are allowed to post to any
Open Mash mailing list.
For
example, Tarzan's official email address may be tarzan@bmrc.berkeley.edu,
and he may be subscribed to openmash-developers as tarzan@bmrc.berkeley.edu.
But when he sends email, his computer may say that his email
comes from tarzan@cs.berkeley.edu. When Tarzan tries to
send mail to openmash-developers, it will be rejected because
the address tarzan@cs.berkeley.edu is not subscribed to
openmash-developers.
There
are two ways to resolve this situation:
- Tarzan
can unsubscribe tarzan@bmrc.berkeley.edu from the list
and subscribe tarzan@cs.berkeley.edu to the list. This
is the preferred solution, but it may not be possible
due to the way Tarzan's computer is configured and/or
managed.
- Tarzan
can subscribe tarzan@cs.berkeley.edu to openmash-posters.
This will let him send mail to any Open Mash mailing list
from tarzan@cs.berkeley.edu.
